Ahoy Sailors,
Well, another Wednesday, another unsettled weather pattern. As of 1100 most of the precip is tracking either north or south of Boston, so with any luck we will be able to get a race in tonight. Which would be nice, given the forecast is for 10-20 knots from the SSW with an ebbing tide from 4-10 PM and sunset at 7:38. Can anyone say “course 4”??Bring some foulies just in case though…
Speaking of tonight, we’ve had a few changes on the roster. Anders and Jackson are out, and I moved Sunny from standby to pit. So our current setup is:
Helm – Chris
Main Trim – Paige
Jib Trim – Tom
Pit – Sunny
Spin Trim – Deanna
Mast – Steve
Midmast – Big Jim
Bow – Maureen
BTW, a slight change of routine after the race. There is a fleet get-togther at The Blackmoor over by Constitution Marina after the race. So, no Lofting tonight, instead once we hit the dock let’s get the boat cleaned up fast and anyone who wants to come over and talk trash with the other boats is welcome to come along.
OK, as always Lance and the RC are monitoring the weather, and will make a call by 4:30 PM at the latest. I will send a text to everyone on tonight with an update either confirming our race or calling it off as soon as I get the word from them.

Racing is on!
Per the Fleet Captain:
All,
Regattaman just crashed so I apologize for not getting this out at 1530. There will be an announcement at 1630 as well on VHF 69. It is our intention to race tonight. The current line of thunderstorms is passing through and Boston is under a Thunderstorm Watch, but not Warning. There may be a slight postponement as the last of the storms roll through.
As always, remember Rule 4 as you are making preparations for this evening and keep a weather eye out. Also, there will be an announcement on the water about the Blackmoor Party scheduled for this evening.
Cheers and be safe, and please pass this on to anyone I may have missed.
Fleet Captain Lance
