The forecast is calling for sunny and warm conditions around 80 with breeze in the mid-teens with possible gusts even higher. Our plan for the race is as follows:
  • Everyone at Lewis Wharf by 1000 hours, so we can be off the dock at 1030 and out to the course to tune up by 1130.
  • Up to 3 races planned, first gun at 1200 hours
  • Time limit 4 hours after the first warning, no races started after 1600 hours
  • Start/Finish in Broad Sound in the vicinity of Finns Ledge, MBSA standard courses
  • I expect to be back to the dock by 1700 hours or so, no later than 1800 at the very latest
  • I will supply water for during the race and beer for after, bring your own lunch to eat before the races start and snacks for between/after the racing
  • Information including SIs and current entries can be found here: https://regattaman.com/def_event_page.php?race_id=36&yr=2019&cancel_dest=calendar.php

  1. I am indeed available to sail.  Happy to help with navi-guessing and be rail meat if it’s windy.  Cheer, -Sunny

  2. Proving that every second counts on the race course, we finished 1 minute 53 seconds ahead of Agora in the first race, owed them 1:52, so beat them by 1 second corrected! A second bullet in the second race gave us a 1st overall for the day…well done!
